An515-54 My pc does not recognize my video card, what can I do?

Yesterday in an intel software it appeared to me that I had pending updates of my drivers, I updated all but there was one in particular that caused the current problem.

The specific driver was one that updated the display adapter: Intel® UHD Graphics 630, this apparently overwrites the manufacturer's (OEM) customizations. When I restarted my Acer Nitro 5, my video card (GTX 1650) was not recognized by any software, even the card stopped appearing in the device manager.

I have already tried solutions such as reverting the adapter update with the options that Windows offers and even with third-party software such as: Display Driver Uninstaller.

I need help, I already tried several options and none work for me :(

  • You have the driver for the NVidia graphics (GTX 1650) in the following link, download and run, tell us:

  • Did the driver run fine or did it give you an error?

If it did not give errors and it is installed, have you restarted and verified that the NVidia still does not appear?

The installer keeps giving me the error that it does not detect the graphic.

  • Go to the device manager and activate hidden devices, check if the NVidia appears.

    view - show hidden devices

Sadly, it still doesn't appear even when I select the option to show hidden devices :(

  • I seem to remember that some NVidia drivers on dual graphics boards also include Intel ones, it would be necessary to try to uninstall the Intel ones and reinstall the one you downloaded from Acer.

Install all the controllers that found it on the Acer page related to my computer model, all had a successful installation of an exception of Nvidia 1650, that shows the message of capterures works

  • I mean uninstall only the Intel one and reinstall the NVidia one again.

Check if it does not give an error again and if NVidia and Intel are still installed.

Take the test if you consider it appropriate.

Ok, I'll report back on the status in a moment, thanks :)

  • Try resetting the battery: disable fast startup in power options, turn off the computer, unplug the power adapter, press the power button for thirty seconds and leave the computer off for half an hour.

Then check if the video card reappears in device manager.

I just tried that once and it doesn't work, my card is still not recognized. Also try installing the latest drivers of the adapter but the problem is the same.

Since you disabled fast boot, turn off the computer and unplug it.

Did I hold down the power button for 30 seconds after leaving the computer half off or before?

I've already tried that method and it doesn't work either. On Acer's driver page, I found a section for selecting the operating system, but it's empty. The OEM customization from the manufacturer should be in that section, but it's not available

Really a crappy issue, no one knows how to fix it. As an Acer customer, I regret my decision and I am planning to post this in X.

    Totally Disappointing .
