The second screen connects to the built in by HDMI .. we just thought there could be interference. But thank you that makes me more confident.

Just thought I will put my two bobs worth and try to give you some comfort. Sorry to read the saga and dramas that you went through with this C27-1650 AIO screen, the symptoms that you are getting are hardware related (as you were told before) and this problem usually happens with the screens image and its back lights, as these circuitries control these aspects of your screen that also restrict the proper voltage from supplying a proper current to the screen, these circuitries can be repaired but you need an experience technician to do this job which Acer Tech Support do not do or repair a faulty screen, they replace them with a new one, so that they can give you a proper warranty.

Acer Tech Support will replace that screen for you and you should have no further problems, so hope this will ease any tensions that you might have. Please note that NOT all Acer products are like you have, you must have gotten a very rare faulty product which happens periodically and is very unusual from an Acer product. Good luck and hope this helps you out further.

Stevengen - many thanks for this. I have found this forum very helpful, and reassuring in many ways, not being too tech savvy myself (which everyone must have realised 🙄🤣)

The place I have taken it to, is the actual company Acer uses, so I have complete trust in their technical expertise.
But as it was out of warranty I took it direct rather than go through Acer. so basically even under warranty the same technicians and company would be dealing with it.

I suppose I have been hoping for a simpler less expensive connection solution…. But in the grand scheme of things it is a lot cheaper than buying a new machine of the same spec.

We have had a few Acer products over the years, and truthfully this is the first major issue. This model has been my favourite as it loads as quick as my son”s Mac, which he uses for his business in Film Production/Animation/VFX.

Many thanks again, and no doubt I will need further advice in future of some description or other. ☺️

If you read the steps advised to me above to try and establish it isn’t the Dtivers etc… it helped me establish to reach out for professional help. Hope it’s under warranty.
if not under warranty and you try all the above.. let me know and I can give you the details of the official Acer repair centre which you can deal with direct.
