Acer Aspire AV15-51 BSOD hit with a constant BSOD loop

Hello,

I purchased my laptop 7 months ago, with Windows 11

I use it for invoicing in my Small Business, it's all cloud based, I've never really installed much on it.

Yesterday I was too lazy to go to the PC so I installed design space on it to use my cricut maker, the laptop suddenly became so slow, frustrated I just shut it down & jumped on the PC.

TODAY I went to start up the laptop and was hit with a constant BSOD loop, it went on for hours before I got through to Microsoft support, none of the troubleshooting options he ran me through worked & I feel like it would have been easier if he could see the things I was looking at so I've come here in hopes of getting some help, if anyone may know of anything I could try?

I can not get to a login screen, or safe mode, I can F12 and get to the boot menu, but there's only one option (2nd picture) and clicking on that just restarts that loop.

Additionally the stop code shown at the bottom is one of about 3 that it cycles through, I've not written down the others but can grab them if needed

Given its mostly used for cloud based software, the couple of things that are on it, I do not care at all if they are lost, I just want it to work again.

    Also just thought to add....up until yesterday it always worked perfectly, and quietly, today while trying to get it to boot up, the fans are on instantly and are SO loud, definitely not something I've experienced with this unit

  • Hi @Sonialouise try to perform a recovery to return it to its original state. If this works, you must keep in mind that you will lose all personal data and that you will have to reinstall the applications that you have installed:

    Running Windows in S Mode is not supported by Design Space, what version of Windows11 is installed on your laptop? This is Freeware, are you aware of the security risks involved downloading freeware from a 3rd-party? Did you download the Desktop version to your laptop? I think you have a corrupt system and recommend doing a complete "Reset this PC losing all your files". If you have important data on your drive that you have not backed up, you can take the drive out (HDD or SSD) and mount it in a USB case or connect it to a USB cable and copy your files to another PC. When you are ready reboot and as soon as you see the Acer logo quickly press Alt+F10 and you should get the blue WindowsRE Troubleshooter menu, select "Reset this PC".

  • I would try to reinstall Windows, pressing alt+f10 before the Acer logo. Then report here if the problem has been resolved.
