my computer speed is so slow, it’s basically brand new, I did contact Acer about it and they told me to carry out factory reset. By the time I done this nothing happened so contacted acer again but they said the warranty has expired even tho I contacted before the warranty was up. Aspire c22-820

Hello! I suggest you check hard drive health with crystaldiskinfo as well.
Also try to disable services and programs from Windows startup, through msconfig.
Defragment the hard drive and scan the hard drive with the chkdsk command.
Here is a photo of performance
here is the disk management, it Takes forever to do anything

I also advise replace the hard drive with an ssd: https://www.userbenchmark.com/System/Acer-Aspire-C22-820/107203
I have this from a hp laptop
You issue isn't due to the drive, it's because you are running out of memory, which causes the OS to use swap space. 4GB is really too little for most systems these days. Replace the 4GB SO-DIMM that is in there with an 8GB or 16GB instead. Your system supports 4GB, 8GB and 16GB memory at 2133MHz.
Yep, more RAM and you might also check the startup tab in task manager to see what is being loaded as maybe some unwanted stuff is being loaded.
there is nothing on the pc at all except iTunes
The sata ssd should work. But check disk health with crystaldiskinfo.
Bring up Resource Monitor and look at what's using the most memory. It might be iTunes or something else, but you are certainly in swap space.
sorry took so long to reply. Don’t know what I’m looking at? Disk is better but still super slow
