Hit your Windows key and start typing Resource Monitor. Part way through it will show you the app. Just hit Enter at that point and it will be launched. Select the Memory tab and sort by Commit. What are the ones at the top of the list? In my case right now I see Firefox, Acrobat and Outlook as the biggest users of memory on my system. You will likely have different ones. Your system currently has a 4GB SO-DIMM memory stick in it. You are very likely going to want to replace that with at least an 8GB stick or possibly a 16GB stick instead. Either or those will allow the system to run much, much faster because it won't be constantly swapping to disk. In addition you would be best off while it's open for the memory upgrade to replace the existing HDD with a SSD or to add a second drive into the M.2 slot and reconfigure to boot from that instead of from the HDD. You would clone the HDD to the new SSD either way, then once it's booting from the new drive repurpose the old on as data storage. Between those two changes you will be shocked at how much faster it will run.
