I shut it down and took it on a trip with me but didn’t use it. When I got back and went to turn it on (nothing) black screen. Thinking maybe the battery was ran down and noticed the blue light next to the charging port would blink off approximately every 2.5 seconds. Charging cord is good. I seen where I could press the esc + refresh + power to put it in Recovery mode. No such luck.

If battery charge LED on the left side doesn't turn steady green after 24 hrs plugged, the battery pack probably needs to be replaced.

Thank you JackE. It has been charging for approximately 4 days now. With or without being plugged in blinking light doesn’t change. I do not see any information speaking of blue light blinking.

Does the blinking light go out if you press and hold the power button for about 5 seconds?

Then the indication is the battery has failed. :(

Thanks. I’m guessing that’s my next step. Taking the battery out and having it tested then get a new one.

Is there a battery in the laptop itself or is it the charging chord. I have same issue. Tried all troubleshooting and nothing works. When I plug my charger into device it blinks red then nothing. Is this the charger itself or a battery somewhere else?

With the CB311-9H series the charger is a USB-C type, 45W. With the laptop powered off it will charge even with a 3A phone charger (they are at 5V@3A so much less than 45W, so will charge only when the laptop is off). If you have access to another 45W USB-C charger then you can verify if your charger is good or not by simply charging the laptop with a different charger. If the charger is good and the battery is bad it's more of a task to diagnose.

Can you find two LEDs? One blinking. And one that's unlit.

That’s correct JackE and no I see only one (1) LED. I took the charger to Best Buy and the technician plug my charger into a laptop and it’s showing my charger is working.

I see only one (1) LED.

Does it still blink even after charger is unplugged?

Yes. It’s been setting now for nine (9) days now. Still blinking.

Does the LED blinking stop and go dark when you press and hold the power button for about 10 seconds?

No. Everything I’ve been told to try has made no difference. Even when I’m trying it nor after.

Please let me ask only one question at a time. Then answer 'yes' or 'no'.

Question 1. With the laptop unplugged from the charger, is the LED still blinking?

    Yes LED still blinks.

It seems to be stuck in sleep mode. The power button contacts might be dirty or slightly corroded due to humidity. Try this.

Rapidly tap the power button a few dozen times to help clean the contacts. Then firmly press & hold the power button for about 30 seconds or till the blinking stops. If it doesn't stop blinking, we'll have to physically disconnect the battery pack connector from the mainboard.

Done that three (3) different times but didn’t change anything. While I was tapping the power button the blue LED light still continued to blink.

12 screws & bottom cover must be removed to temporarily disconnect & reset the battery. Do you want to try to do this yourself.

Ok took bottom cover off and unhooked battery. Waited approximately 20 minutes then plugged it back in but the light is out.
