ELAN 12C FILTER DRIVER POINTER DISAPPEARS.
Hello, good morning, I have searched for driver updates and it continues to fail, I have tried going back to the previous drivers and it continues to fail. I always update windows 11 and it keeps failing. I have also downloaded the 2 drivers from the Acer page for my notebook model and it keeps failing. I did a hard drive check and malware scan and it keeps failing. Any solution? Thanks
In fact it appears with a warning symbol.

Hi,
Could you please post the full model name of the laptop, like AN5xx-xx, in the meantime, go to BIOS screen and move to Main tab, check whether you have option to change Touchpad mode, if it's in Basic mode switch to I2C mode.

Get an external USB mouse and plug it in, test if it works. Go to Device Manager and uninstall that Elan12C driver but also these 2 drivers:
Reboot and Windows11 will reinstall the touchpad drivers. Turn on Touchpad in Windows11

Look for my model and two touchpad drivers appear. If I uninstall those two and download these two, is it correct or not? Thank you.

You need to download and install ELANTECH driver only, don't install Synaptics driver.

I wrote: "Reboot and Windows11 will reinstall the touchpad drivers". Don't install anything yourself. The reason I wrote to connect an USB mouse was to help you navigating after you delete the touchpad drivers as you will lose total control (not for fixing your touchpad issue).
