Hi @JiteA315212109 do you already have the SSD installed?
Once you have the SSD installed and check that it is recognized by the BIOS.
Then, create an installation USB from the Microsoft page with the tool that appears on the page:

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows11

With the laptop turned off, connect the USB, turn on the computer and press the F12 key insistently, select the USB and start the installation, this article can help you (in Spanish) and the steps are also valid for Windows 11).
Feel free to ask any questions again.
    Thank you.
    All the best.

    1. Install Macrium Reflect Free while still on your old hard disk.
    2. Take a disk image. Transfer this image to an external drive.
    3. Create a macrium bootable USB.
    4. Swap the disk out and put in SSD.
    5. Boot using the macrium bootable USB.
    6. Select restore option, and then select the backed up image on the external drive.

This should get your system as it is from existing disk to SSD with all software and drivers intact.

Macrium Reflect, posted above by sri369, is no longer freeware (30 days trial only) you have to buy it. You can get the same, IMO easier, results with Windows7 Backup (go to Control Panel>Backup and Restore (W7), don't use the backup option just "Create an Image file" (top left) at the end it will ask you if you want to create a Recovery USB Disk and if you don't have one do that too. The beauty of W7 Backup is that it recognizes the Windows disk partition protocol (3 volumes) while most other backup programs don't. You restore the Windows Image file by using your USB Recovery disk, "Restore an Image file". I still use W7 backup in Windows 11 every month together with EaseUS Todo (freeware) after each Windows update I make 2 backups of my entire HDD.

All due respect, 30 days of trial is more than enough for the user to accomplish their task.

True, but then what; discard the USB drive and delete the Macrium image file as those will be useless after a month? None of the writers on this forum, with Windows, seem to have permanent USB WindowsRE Recovery drives. This should be the first thing when buying a new PC, make a Recovery Drive with your new Windows version so if things go South you can always get in Safe Mode to your C: drive and if you also made regular image files from your disk you can restore your system easily rather than starting from scratch downloading Widows ISO files. I recommend making at least once a month a complete backup of your disk preferably with two different image files in case one won't restore😉

@Puraw Not in a mood to argue nor extend this discussion, the solution offered is for the problem user stated. How to maintain long term ongoing backups and how to partition disks and all has been taken care of in multiple threads. Also, one solution may not satisfy everyone - like mine may not make you happy or yours may not make someone else happy. It would be nice to present your solution without discriminating others. Not discussing on this anymore.
