Hi there,

my old but gold G3100 won't boot because of an empty Bios battery. So I opened it up to change it... But where the hell is the battery? I found the Bios-chip but no battery. Anybody any ideas? Is it on the other side of the motherboard?

Thank you all!

All the best

Alex

Yeah, you want to pull the GPU card out in order to access it.

clean the RAM with thumb size pencil eraser or fine steel sandpaper by gently rubbing the contact points until shiny and clear or you can replace it with a new one (compatible to the mobo)

What are the actual symptoms? Do you get anything when you turn it on? Do you get any warnings or errors before the boot fails?
