acer spin cp713-2w screen flashing Link to video of issue.

Screen is flashing on and off. It's mostly off and will flash on. Moving it doesn't make a difference. I can connect it via HDMI to my PC monitor and it works through the monitor just fine.

Update: In the process of moving all the files off of the Chromebook the screen seems to be working correctly. No more flickering. But I also haven't tried to move it as I'm still transferring files to my NAS.
Would still be happy for any advice or ideas on what is causing this and possible fixes. Trying to not send it back to Acer as I'm overseas and it takes a while to ship back and forth to/from the US.

Does moving the screen make any difference to the symptoms? If so it might be an issue with the eDP cable that runs between the motherboard and display.

maybe because of a faulty HDMI or not properly inserted... try a new one or other brand...

It is so hard to say, sometimes it seems to change if you move it, other times it doesn't seem to make a difference. I plan on ordering and replacing the cable as it's not that expensive just to try.

The HDMI to monitor is working fine. It's the Chromebook screen that is having issues.

Probably it's the cable then, they develop internal cracks when flexed after a while. Movement can either open the crack or close it and it's usually tough to fully diagnose. If moving the screen makes a difference, even sometimes, it's likely the issue. The Acer part number for the cable on a CP713-2W is: 50.HQBN7.007
