I have a HP universal docking station that connects to laptops with a USB-C cord.  With an HP laptop it provides power, connects to multiple monitors, and connects to a keyboard and mouse, all that are plugged into the universal docking station.  My Acer laptop does not have a USB-C slot, but I have an adapter that can plug into the ACER laptop's traditional USB port.  None of the devices are found by the Acer laptop when I plug in the universal docking station using the adapter.  Is there a setting, driver or some other configuration that would allow me to use the universal docking station with the Acer laptop?  It is a model N19C3, manufactured 03/27/2020, running Windows 11 home.  Thanks in advance for any assistance with this.

It appears when connected the mouse and keyboard are active, just not the monitors.

Yes, it likely requires USB-C Alt mode to do video, and without a USB-C port to provide that...

I am having an issue with my Acer Nitro 5 laptop, and HP docking station. I have installed pretty much every driver i could find. The type C port on my acer does not charge the laptop (which isnt a huge deal) - and the laptop doesnt recognize the docking station at all, monitors or peripherals.

@Kfisher9 you should probably start a new thread in the Nitro section with your question. You'll get a lot more Nitro people looking at it there. We will definitely need to know which Nitro you have, it should be something like AN5xx-xxx-xxxx and the number is usually on the same sticker as your serial number.
