Helios 700 - PH717-71 - PredatorSense not installing on W11 22H2

Thought I'd give W11 a crack, and installed it on my least critical PC, but PredatorSense refuses to install. Fans seem to be spinning, barely, but there doesn't appear to be a functioning fan curve without the program. Which is bad.

The installation gets stuck on "installing PredatorSense Service". If I abort, or just reboot, the files are in the folder, but none of the executables open. I never much liked the program, so I would gladly accept a substitute, as long as it works. If not, I guess I shall go back to W10 and throw the PC in the trash when they stop supporting it. These kind of problems make me very glad I mainly use desktops.

I ran the 3dMark CPU test, for giggles, and sure enough, the fan never ramped up (guessing it runs at under 1000 rpm), effectively making it useless.

Unfortunately, some users have had this problem with both Nitro and Predator sense Win-10 functionality when upgrading to Win-11 as the PH717-71 only has a PS for Win-10. First have a look at the Acer guided solution at this link "PredatorSense software does not open properly"

If the above doesn't work then, uninstall the PH717-71 Win-10 version PredatorSense completely and then download the newest Predator Sense Version: 3.00.3192_20220530 and try this version that is specifically for Win-11 and all the new Predator laptops running Win-11 OS and will work on your PH717-71.

I already tried downloading PS for the other Helios 700 though (which was released about a year later - the software, not the laptop) - which flat out wouldn't start up because it was "incompatible", leading me to believe the software is hardlocked to 1 specific model / type number. I also tried to find NitroSense that might work, but Acers support pages are horrendous, and I couldn't find any without typing in an actual model name.

I already spent hours on reverting back to W10. I guess I could create a rescue image of my boot drive so I can revert back again to W10 if your suggestion fails.

At any rate, I thank you for your suggestion; I'll try it tonight.

"Sorry, this computer is not supported" when trying to run the PS you linked. So that was a waste of time. Thanks anyway, at least I made an image of my boot drive before formatting again..

@Sehnsucht might be Windows 11 bug. I also got Predator sense stuck on installing services without any green process bar show up. It was frustrating that this also happen with other Predator Sense versions. What I did to fix this issue was I tried uninstalling Care Center, Quick Access, updating Windows 11 with ISO files, and reinstalling Care Center, Quick Access. Then I give it try to reinstall the Predator Sense and somehow it works perfectly.

Please remember to include @AnhEZ28 when you want to reply back to my comment so that I can check your response.
Thank you and have a nice day!

Tried exactly this now, didn't work, same issue. I give up. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Will never buy another Acer product.
