Looks like two passwords were set. One for the BIOS. One for the user.

Typically that kind of password reset requires a trip to the factory, which isn't likely worth the effort for that old of a machine. :(

Can you still access the BIOS menu by tapping F2 on startup?

When tapping F2 password screen comes up, it used to before and I put the password in and was all good but now it refuses.

Do you remember also setting a user password the last time you entered the BIOS with a supervisor password? Because both a supervisor password and a user password were apparently set on the phone image that you posted earlier. If you don't remember, did anybody else have your supervisor password that could've changed things?

If you have forgotten the passwords, then the only solution is to send to to a repair center to have those removed.

I just used 1 password don't understand as to why it is doing this but will carry on trying.

  • Did you use a bios unlock code? These bios unlock codes, when user forget password, can lock some bios functions.

Do you hear any BIOS beep error codes when you first turn on the machine?

The last time you posted this BIOS security tab phone photo on Sept 21, a BIOS supervisor password & user password were somehow set. The user password also looks like it was highlighted when that photo taken. How do you think that might've happened?

Set and saving a supervisor password probably should've only been done if the cold boot USB installation stick or ALT+F10 reset were being bypassed. The user password wouldn't have been needed and might not even accepted the same password as the supervisor password. Other than that, did someone else advise you to do this? I'm not sure it would work but maybe you should try entering your password with an external keyboard.
