replacing the pads for Predator Galea 350

does any one of you ever replace the pads for galea 350?
it sounds great, I don't wanna switch to other headset yet. leather from the pads are disintegrating like dying digimon and I found nothing on the internet about anyone ever replacing the pads. does this mean acer is saying, "hey! this is the end for your headset, time to buy a new one"?

    Sorry. As noted in this community link, , servicing & replacement part specs for this series seems to be lacking.  non-existent or unavailable to us forum users and even online store reps. This suggests to me that they are probably re-labelled products, much like battery packs & chargers, that are actually manufactured by only a few companies. They probably share parts, design & construction with models from better-known labels like Sony, Bose, Razer, Sennheiser, etc. I can only guess that Sennheiser might have pads that are shared with this series.

    this article is not specific to the galea 350. I cannot pull the pads nor twist it, so I don't know what method to do it

    hmm yes, as I thought. Aftersales service for Acer accessories are completely lacking. I should have known before getting acer accs. Lesson learnt!
    even if Sennheiser have replacement pads for galea 350, we don't know for sure how to replace it, thus risk breaking the headphone. I cannot find anything on the internet.

    Aside from the disintegrating surface coating, if the cushions are otherwise OK, you could consider flexible pad sox. They just slip over the cushions and contain the flakes. Get a 100 of them for less than $15. Reusable too if they're washed. Another possibility is liquid leather rubber spray coating. I used it to re-coat shift lever boots in which the leather-like coating started peeling off the base fabric.
