    The best way to rule in or rule out a hardware is a full erase everything ALT+F10 cold boot factory reset from the hidden reset partition. Then immediately make sure System Protection is turned on and sufficient drive space is allocated in Control Panel's restore point app just in case an errant Win update caused this.
