    Hey Can anyone please please help me.......i bought new laptop swift 3 sf314 - 55g 3 months ago.....i play games few weeks ago first time in this laptop while being plugged in..... everything works fine till now....but today.....while playing(with charging) my device shutdown itself twice......and again at night wothout charging and without gaming just simple surfing net....it again shutdown itself.....i dont know what to do please help PLEASE.....

    I m from India . I requested Motherboard for swift 3 months passed the first time they sent Motherboard which results to be dead .... i think i choosed very ***** brand Acer.....now they are saying technician requested againand its still waiting for its approval

    @confusedCoder have you run a utility that monitors temperatures in the laptop? Usually a random shutdown like that happens when the heat is more than the fan can cool. Often it something blocking the air flow, sometimes it's a faulty fan and sometimes it's poor connection between the processor and heat sink.

    I also have similar random shutdown issue in Acer SF314-55G (Swift 3), it is not due to overheating, fan or battery.
    Also I am not able to downgrade the bios as it use American Megatrend Inc. bios exe which throwing error while extracting. Please check full details here "https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/663908/acer-sf314-55g-swift-3-laptop-randomly-shuts-down"  and please let me know if any solutions.

    Normally a BIOS downgrade is blocked due to the higher possibility of bricking when trying something like that.
