Predator Helios 300 Fans Not Working

Hi, today I was replacing the paste and cleaning the cooling on my Acer Helios 300 laptop.
After twisting, I fired the laptop and the fans do not work when the temperature rises, but they only turn on and off every now and then. In the PredatorSense application, they do not react to the set speed and it is still written 0 RPM. Anyone know what it could be?

This means that your fans are probably dirty or blocked by something. If you know how to open your laptop then you will also know how to unplug your fan connections which u need to do for removing the heatsink(may differ for your model). All you got to do is remove the fan, open them up (need a precision screwdriver set for that) and clean them thoroughly. U have to clean everything (the vent area will be dirty) and u will have to pull the fan out once opened clean its axle and clean the place where the axle goes in.

In my case the laptop was in for a good cleaning and repasting and my gpu fan was not working. I would have gotten it fixed externally but i noticed that it would spin every now and then but then not move. That made me realize that it is working. When i opened for the first time ***** my laptop was dirty but i couldnt reach the fan because i had no precision screwdrivers. When i i reopened after ordering them i removed the heatsink and the fan assembly and noticed that the slightest touch would make the cpu fan spin (since they were very light like that) but the gpu fan was "tighter" and wouldnt spin. I pulled it out then cleaned everything, put a dab of some oil (idk why u probably shouldnt do that) and put it back together. I ensured it would spin with a light tough before putting it all back together and voila!! Suggest you to watch some videos on how to open your laptop/clean its fans, how to clean laptop fans, whether to use any lubricant etc. And let me know if u need any help/advice!!

I have done everything you said and its still the same. Also I downloaded speedfan app and it could not find my fans like there weren't any. I don't know what else I can do.

sorry for the late reply. just saw this. anyways that explanation was extremely long, let me break it down.
if your fan tries to spin, ie it moves every now and then and then stops it simply means its working, but its stuck. you can confirm that by opening the laptop and trying to manually spin or push on the blades. if they spin very easily as if they are just floating they are not blocked, if they dont then they definitely are and need cleaning.
now you can just buy a new fan and replace them, or take the fan itself apart to clean it which is what i did.
if you decide to clean first get some cotton swabs, isopropyl alcohol (make sure it leaves no residue) and just a few drops of some clean oil.
now unscrew the fan cover until the fan is exposed. then just pull the main fan blade right out **watch some youtube tutorials on laptop fan cleaning for this** once the fan blade is out, you need to clean everything with the alcohol. motor, axle, even drip some alcohol in the compartment where the axle sits, it all needs to be squeaky clean.
you obviously should also clean the external parts of the fan at this point like the fan blades.
after all this you fan will not get stuck, so it will be good. if its still getting stuck then you did not clean it properly and something is getting in the way, thats all. make sure the internal parts are completely clean rub them with the cotton swabs. also try to get in between the motor as much as you can.
the last step is to dribble just a little bit of oil in the axle compartment to make sure theres no friction.

you could manually test the fan before oiling because it may not be necessary. in my case i felt i absolutely should to reduce the friction as much as possible. then put it all back together if it spins smoothly manually.

this will only work if your fan is still working btw, if its not working at all then you may need to replace it.

last thing i want to say is that you really need to get in there to clean as much as you can. read this and the other reply a few times. watch a couple of videos on laptop fan cleaning, and you should be good to go.

are both your fans not working? what is predator sense showing? also do they spin at all ever ? did you confirm that the fans are plugged in correctly?
