I have an Acer Preditor Helios 300 2018 version, all of a sudden I turned it on and the screen is black and I noticed the fans are not spinning but the keyboard lights up and I hear internal system noises like parts moving and so on, I opened it and disconnected the battery cable and pressed the power button and plugged it in back and disconnected one of the fans cable, I screwed it back together and turned it on, again the screen is black and the keyboard lights up but the fans spinns this time and stopps about five seconds after, when I plug and plug it out on charge it makes a beep sound, a short one( the beeping was heppening before I pulled it open) help me please.

had the same problem with the acer nitro 5 on fan speeds, i figured it out after 3 days of finding useless comments and TONS AND TONS of posts about the same thing happening.. Simply gotta clean out the cooling unit

    Check this out ^^^^^^^^^

Heres the disassembly guide for your laptop <3 remember make sure you buy some high grade thermal paste and have a toothbrush and some rubbing alcohol as well as a nice clean soft cloth handy!...no need to thank me.. Acer needs to give me a job though apparently because the mods on the site dont even ever suggest this option to why the fans are at wonky speeds and things get too hot <3

yikes though that does sound like either the cable is unplugged or got pinched off in there somwhere, or your gpu is toasted...

Can you give us the exact model number as "Predator Helios 300 2018" is not really a model number, is it the PH315-51 to be precise? Also, have you checked the eDP cable of the monitor if its not damaged and/or the eDP plug is not disconnected? As that cable runs to the top cover and into the LED screen and its at a high wearing point (when you open and close the top cover and it gets damaged and/or shorts out) and its a big cause of black monitors with everything else working? Also and another way (if you have an external monitor?) is to plug your laptop to an external screen to see if its not your LED screen that is not working in your laptop? Otherwise it could be numerous things including a BIOS thing with a single beep. Before you do anything with resetting the BIOS CMOS make sure that you have disconnected the laptop from the mains and then do a “Clear CMOS Jumper” (see captions below of how to clear CMOS for the two different graphics 1060 and 1050 of this models motherboard). Then press the power button for 10 sec. and try to reboot and see if the laptops screen fires up?

    Reset CMOS 1050 graphics model

    Reset CMOS 1060 graphics model

If not and you don't have an external monitor to check if the screen works? It could be your LED monitor that needs replacing so look at the exact model number LED that you have and see if its reference numbers are as below.

The Vendor/Model name is the Slim, eDP, FHD, IPS

sorry just re read the post.  man it sounds like youve got a short in the cable or that your gpu took a header off the side of the cliff.. try opening it up, cleaning out your fans, reconnecting and checking your gpu cables are connected (monitor cables essentially) and make sure that the wires arent pinched anywhere (as in where the laptop opens and closes hinge area because the wires run though there) if they arent, then you probably either have a burned out screen or gpu may have went out.

and wow this guy beat me to it ^^^ ima hit send though because i typed this all out . lol

also that single beep - happens on my nitro 5, it just signifies its being unplugged from power or plugged into power. has done that
    since day 1
