When I set the battery charge limit to 80% and open again my laptop after I shut it down, the battery charge limit turns on automatically. I tried using the Acer Care Center as an administrator but it still turn off automatically.

Any suggested fix? Thank you!

danetime yes always plugged into AC only use it on batter on emergency and really light work the internal batteries are not like the old removable ones that would get damaged if not removed they are designed to be always plugged in (as i explained before they work as a powerbank to help the adapter with more power when it cant provide enough by itself) as you wont get full performance from the laptop if its not always plugged in :) i have mine always on AC 24/7 non stop since 2018 and i only have 8.7% battery wear :)

Try reinstalling the Acer Care Centre application by downloading from the support page (However I assume that you would have already done it.)....

Well I was asking because I read somewhere that it is good to avoid charging the battery to 100% often to prolong the battery life. Are you saying that is better to just always keep it at 100%?

I often fully charge the battery (8x~9x~100) then I unplug it and play games when it's not plugged in, will this affect the battery?

I had this same issue for quite some time now on my Predator PH315-53, although I found a quick fix for this last week.

You probably have your Usb Power charging while the device is off set as "On" in your Quick Access app<Settings. Disabling this did the trick for me, since I believe my external USB devices somehow were draining power bit by bit while my device was switched off, thereby resetting the Battery limiter.

    - This is an interesting idea, I will try it. Nevertheless, it looks like it is a bug, not a feature. There is no reason to silently turn off the battery limiter due to "Power-off USB charging".
