Everyone's is high like that. I made a post recently to see if they can tell us what the system temperature probe actually is hardware wise. NO excuse for it to be so high while idling while the rest of the temps are proper and in range.
    Hi there,

Thank you for your reply. I totally agreed with you. what do you think about this?
I am afraid high temp like this when laptop just idling is not good in long term. And Acer need to explain it and have a solution for this.
My hands feel warm when typing even on normal usage. I don't feel good about this high temp while just browsing and typing words.

    Looking forward to your feedback!
    Regards,

    Hi there,
So In my case while in idle it's around 45-50 c something and using chrome like that the temp around 50-60c that i've noticed,
  • Acer recently released an update to the fans table, see:

I mean 92 c cpu and 70c is casual for the game, better use cooling pad and change the thermal paste (arctic mx-4 or Kryonaut) is best and soon they'll unlock the undervolt thing so we can reduce temp :)

I just bought the laptop about 2 3 weeks and i cant really open it and change the thermal paste. But the temps are really high here, at least the CPU, the GPU around 70 is fine for me I guess. Cant wait for acer to fix it or release new BIOS for undervolting.

Same problem here, and i have a low ambient temperature for now. Don't know how high it would get in summer. System temparature is always hotter than CPU temperature at any given time. I'm using a coolpad and yet it does not make a difference.

    Hello,
It's not the hardware issue actually, even I'm also having these temp in idle after some windows updates, but when i newly purchase the laptop i knew the temp of my laptop is way low and after update it changed to high

Same problem here, the strange thing is that when I am using only wifi connection, the system temperature drops down to 50C. Once I connect through ethernet and start doing stuff such as watch streams, this system temperature will rise up to 75C like what you have there.

If anyone is still wondering: SYSTEM temperature is most likely the temperature of the Intel chipset (red circle):

I put a heatpipe with a heatsink in the place indicated by the grayish line (glued with thermal epoxy, no reflow oven or hot air welding station, don't want to risk bursting heatpipes with soldering) and my SYSTEM temps stay in the low 50's in Idle, low 60's when gaming. Previously it would eventually creep up to low 80's in IDLE :)
Ideally it should be connected to the radiator, because this way it puts heat on the 3060, but I don't have good enough heatpipe bending skills and the wireless card is in the way :) I also don't think just putting a radiator on it will work, since there seems to be not enough airflow in that area, so the heat would just build up, but I have no tests to prove that so it's just a guess.

The chipset itself should be fine up to a 100/105 degrees Celsius, I did it merely to stop the fans from going into overdrive despite the CPU/GPU being cool.

I'm still getting some weird fan behaviour occasionaly, it ramps up for no apparent reason despite all temps being in low 50's, I'll try to find a solution for that.
  • @Akachi Have you checked the bios version?

Yes I have 1.09, modified to allow undervolting.
    https://www.reddit.com/r/acer_predator/comments/q7w0nj/unlock_undervolting_on_11th_gen_helios_300_within/

1.11 doesn't seem to change the fan table so I'm skipping for now.
