What's the full kernel line you are using when you get that? And is it static or blinking?
Try hitting cntrl + alt + f1. Through F10, see if any of the other TTYs respond1 -
If a BIOS supervisor password has been set -- and secure boot has been turned off --- and the kali boot stick still won't boot from either usb port --- then I suggest re-making the Kali iso installation stick on the AO1-431 itself in the Windows environment using Rufus freeware. The stick must be prepared from the iso using GPT partition scheme, FAT32 format for a UEFI bootstrapper.

thanks for the suggestion. Do you think a 64gig thumb drive would be good for this or a 32 would work better for the interface in terms of compatibility or does that matter?0 -
No, a plain vanilla 16GB USB is actually preferred for FAT32. Bigger capacities often cause issues.
