Acer Nitro VG270UPbmiipx Flickering Issue

Hi,

2 years ago I was lucky enough to buy an Acer monitor. After a few days of use I started to notice strange flickering when using the monitor for a long time.

This is how the defect looks like

At first I could not understand anything. The defect may not appear at all for weeks. Especially if you do not use the monitor too much (an hour or two a day) and reduce the brightness. And by the nature of the artifacts you can think that it is a problem with the OS, the PC hardware or the cable. Started checking the whole thing. The same thing happens with HDMI instead of the complete DP. Tested at 120Hz. With overdrives and FreeSync turned off.

I handed it in to an authorized service center. I have been with them for a month. No use.

I managed to take pictures. I took pictures on the PC a year ago. Now checked on the console to rule out a malfunction in my configuration (although already changed completely in a year, and the defect remained).

Here are my videos form PS5:

There were more cases of the defect that day. Flickered 5 times in an hour or so. But I didn't record everything. There are more complete uncut videos. You can see the console interface there.

I had no problem shooting the whole thing. Took pictures when I used it - caught it and cropped it. And the service department didn't find anything in a month. One year old videos, by the way, threw. I described the situation personally. They contacted me.

I contacted the Service Center. Found out their testing methodology. They just turned it on, ran some content and put it in the background. That is, the description of the fault was "flickering once an hour or less". And they decided to look at it occasionally. Needless to say, what are the chances in principle, that you look at the monitor at this exact time interval!

Took it to the service center for another month. But probably to no avail. What else can be done in this situation? I would be grateful for any advice.

I am really sorry for the inconvenience..     It might be the issue with poweroutlet, surge protector, cables or on devices which you are connecting the monitor or may be the monitor itself.     Kindly follow the steps given below to narrow down the issue..

    1. If the monitor is connected directly to a power outlet try to connect the monitor to a different power outlet on a different room and check.

    2. If the monitor is connected to a surge protector, bypass the surge protector and connect it directly to power outlet and check..     Try to use a different surge protector and check..

    3. Try to use alternative cables for monitor and check..

    4.  On the monitor - there are different menu buttons.    Press the control menu buttons and try to reset the settings of monitor and check..

    5.  To isolate the issue , try to connect the monitor to a different computer and check whether the same problem appears.

Already tried all of this. Bypassed the surge protector. Tried different surge protectors. Used different cables. Reset the settings. I did not connect it to another PС. But as I said above, I connected it to the PlayStation 5 and the problem remained. And during that time, I completely upgraded my PC. Video card, processor, power supply. In fact, it's a different computer now. No luck.
