I need help with my aspire 514-45 and sleeping.

My aspire 5 has been having issues recently. Every time it goes to sleep, it won't wake up. I've tried looking at many solutions but nothing worked. This has been going on for a few days and I can't find any way for this to stop. Could anyone please help me solve this or give me any reason why this is happening?

If, by “won’t wake up” you mean the screen remains black while the computer runs, then welcome to the party. This is a long, long term problem with windows and video drivers which never seems to get solved. I’ve been fighting it on my Aspire for two weeks and I know much more about it than I ever wanted to.If you can, try to plug in an external monitor or tv via hdmi while it’s refusing to wake up. If the external monitor works, go to your display settings, it’ll probably say “display 1 not active”. If so, we’re in the same boat, and there’s no obvious solution, just hundreds and hundreds of threads all over the internet in which people try everything and sometimes have a temporary solution.0
