Hi I have Acer Nitro 5 AN515-45.And I have been facing this issue since last year.

The laptop powers on (keyboard lights up, etc.), but the screen stays completely black.I can hear windows welcome sound and when I type password blindly I get login and I hear notifications too which is normal.

History: This issue has been happening for a few months, and it's always triggered by physical movement like traveling or a small jolt. In the past, a gentle tap on the laptop would temporarily fix it, but that no longer works.

When I faced the issue for first time, I called my friend and he did CMOS battery reset and reinserted ram , which fixed the issue . After wards , gentle tap would fix but not today

Today I took it to my college and when I was fixing my tshirt as it was pulled by laptop bag , i think this was the trigger event

These Nitro AN515-45 laptop symptoms are either from the laptops eDP cable and its plugs that plug into the screen or the mainboard that are lose and/or are disconnecting from the board or the plugs pins are shorted at the mainboard or screen, and the last thing could be the actual LED 15.6" screen, and the image goes off and on. Or its a frozen EC chip that restricts the image from booting and displaying and your laptop needs a hard reset to unfreeze this chip and laptop.

To do a hard reset and if you are computer savvy, open the laptop up and take the main battery out, then press the power key for 15 seconds to release all power from your laptop, take the main battery out and also disconnect the RTC/BIOS battery and shorts its mainboard +&- pins with a metal object monetarily to reset CMOS, then take all the ram out, leave the laptop like that for 15min and reconnect everything, with the ram, and if you have 2x ram modules, only connect one and see if its not the ram that is faulty as that can cause those symptoms that you have

if the eDP cable plug is lose at the screen then if you press the screen bezel the image should turn off, if it doesn't the its not the plug at the screen. Otherwise you could have a faulty screen or its other issues with your laptop that you need to take your Nitro AN515-45 to a technician so that they can analyse and pinpoint the fault and fix it. good luck and hope this gives you a guide of what could be wrong with your laptop.

Check the cable and plugs at the board and screen if its not shorted or its plugs are lose

These are the LED 15.6" screens fitted to the AN515-45 laptop. Check the screen if its not burned out, this is the last thing that could happen.
