Bluetooth Headset Compatibility on my Acer XC-885 desktop PC running Windows 11

Hi, I’m having problems using my new Earbay BT68 headset and my Acer XC-885 desktop PC running Windows 11.

I get the headset connected without any problems.

If I go into settings and test input and output, they both sound fine. However, if I try and use the headset in WhatsApp then when I test the input, my voice sounds very distorted.

I get the same result if I log onto my work PC via VDI and use Teams. The headset seems to work fine with my mobile, so I assume it is something to do with the configuration on my desktop.

Looking for some help to resolve this.

Make sure that WhatsApp is installed properly and all its audio settings Video & Voice is appropriately set. Go to Settings in Win-11 > System > Sound (see caption below) for the sound and microphone settings, as you probably haven't fine tuned your Earbay BT68 headset to Win-11 OS.

Also, remember that audio drivers are not only governed by the Realtek driver as its also governed by the Intel and if you have a dedicated GPU card its determined by that of its an NVidia GPU driver also, so if you want to update all the sound aspects of the Aspire XC-885 desktop, you need to update the Realtek, Intel and NVidia drivers together, Good luck and hope this helps you out to solve the audio issues.
