Hello,
I have an Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 laptop, 14th Gen, with the following specs:
- Core i9-14900HX
- RTX 4060 8GB
- 16GB RAM
I'm experiencing very high CPU temperatures, reaching 100°C, even during light usage. Temperatures often stay between 91–96–100°C, and never drop, even when setting the fans to maximum speed, whether under light or heavy loads.
On the other hand, I noticed that one of my friends has the exact same laptop model, but his CPU temperature never exceeds 78°C, even with the fans on automatic mode.
I found out that the CPU uses liquid metal, but I don’t know the exact type.
- Does anyone here know the exact brand/model used by Acer?
- Is it possible to replace it with PTM7950?
- Has anyone tried PTM7950? If yes, what were the temperatures after applying it?
For context:
The laptop is brand new, and it's been reaching high temperatures since the first time I turned it on.
I’ve attached an image showing the CPU temperature, usage percentage, and fan speeds.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
