Hi, the Acer Aspire A315-24PT does not support Thunderbolt 4 or USB-C DisplayPort Alternate Mode (DP Alt Mode) for video output. If you have a TBT4 dock that connects to a USB-C port your external monitors connected to the dock won't work. If this is a USB3.0 dock and it does not have active graphics support also not. If the dock has an active graphics adapter you need to update the Display link driver. Also check the HDMI cables and monitor port settings (HDMI).

This is how you should use the Acer USB 3.0 Dock U301 by the Acer instructions. If you have 2x monitors you can only connect them to your Aspire A315-24PT through ITS HDMI port as your laptop hasn't got a TBT4 USB-C port. Good luck and hope this help you out further.

How to Set Up the Acer USB 3.0 Dock U301

The Acer USB 3.0 Dock U301 allows you to set up your desk so you can use your notebook with an external keyboard and mouse, and up to two displays.  Once you connect the dock, you should download and install the latest driver from  https://www.displaylink.com/downloads/windows  to allow for full functionality of the dock. Use the instructions below to connect the dock and download the required software driver. For additional information, please see the U301 Dock User Guide.

    Recommendations:

    • Your notebook must support USB Type-A Gen1 or USB Type-C Gen1 connection.
    • A certified Acer notebook is recommended for fullest compatibility.
    • For the best performance, we recommend connecting the Acer USB 3.0 Dock U301 to your host computer via USB 3.0 Type A Gen1 port or USB 3.0 Type C Gen1 port.
    • This product is not recommended for gaming and does not support the G-Sync monitors.

    1. Place the dock vertically on a flat surface.
    2. Plug in the AC adapter.

Hi, that dock will work fine but if this is mainly for connecting 2 monitors this active graphics adapter would do the job better for a 3rd of the price as it supports 2 x 4K monitors at 60Hz in Extended Mode. https://www.amazon.com/Adapter-DisplayLink-Graphics-Outputs-Compatible/dp/B094G5JLNC?th=1
