Graphics card driver problems and insufficient support in Nitro An16-41

First of all hello, I use Google Translate so I will explain it simply and explanatorily.

I bought my computer 1 year ago. I registered it immediately. I had no problems for the first months. Then in the 2nd-3rd months when I entered the games, the graphics card automatically switched from optimum to nvidia 4050. I had no problems, there was a small lag and then it was fixed. I thought this was normal. When I switched to the nvidia graphics card in the 2nd-3rd months, my screen froze and my mouse did not appear on the screen even if I moved it. When I waited for a while, the computer restarted itself. I also tried the ctrl+*****+w+b key combination. In short, it was like that for a while, I could not use nvidia. When I deleted the driver, my problem went away. I downloaded the one on your site and had no problems. Then I started having problems with it too. Sometimes I had problems and sometimes I did not. And this is very annoying. I reset it many times, I used all the driver versions many times but I had the same problem. When I called Acer customer service, they said "If your problem sometimes occurs, it is not hardware but software. Use the software on the website." However, I experience the same problem despite using it. This problem sometimes occurs and sometimes does not.

My second problem: When my amd graphics card has updated itself for the last 15 days, "normally the 660m version was downloaded and I did not have any problems, now it does not cause problems when it is named amd radeon tm. However, I have problems when it is automatically updated again."

The problem I am experiencing is that I can use the computer when I update it. When I restart it, the colors on my keyboard go away, my computer stays on a black screen immediately after the acer logo is loaded and then goes to a blue screen. I enter safe mode, uninstall the amd 660m driver and the problem is solved. However, it automatically downloads again. It was not a problem when it was downloaded before, it has been like this for the last 15 days. I am also experiencing the nvidia problem.

1- What is the problem with nvidia and amd drivers? How can I solve it? There are versions from 2-3 years ago on your site. You should provide us with reliable drivers that are compatible with our system, if you did, where can we find them? Drivers from 2022 are useless.

2- I can never access Amd drivers, when I download the drivers from your site, they do not install and give an error.

3- You should update the driver and bios for us. It is not stable at all, most of the features in the nitro sense application you published do not work, it is not stable.

Please inform us, help us. Using the computer has become torture for me. If it continues like this, I will sell this computer and never buy an Acer product again. My hours have been wasted, I have been dealing with these problems for hours. Please provide me with support. How will I solve it, how will I reach you?

You should not have upgraded your Nitro AN16-41 and added a 1x 8GB DDR5-5600MT/s CL46 ram module, as running unequal ram capacities could also cause freezing problem to your laptop. The AMD R5 7535HS cpu has a max design capacity by AMD of 64GB DDR5-5600MT/s CL46 type ram and its best in these laptops to have 2x ram modules of equal capacity of the same exact spec ram, for example, you should have added a 1x16GB DDR5-5600MT/s CL46 type ram for a total of 32GB DDR5-5600MT/s CL46 equal spec modules in both ram slots. Be aware that your Nitro AN16-41 laptop will also run with max total capacity of 2x 32GB DDR5-5600MT/s CL46 type ram for a total capacity of 64GB for best performance and to widen its editing and gaming capabilities.

The problem that you are having and why you are getting…."the colors on my keyboard go away, my computer stays on a black screen immediately after the acer logo is loaded and then goes to a blue screen"….is because of the laptops "Super I/O controller IT5570E EC chip" that is freezing in your laptop and it needs a Hard Reset, as doing a proper reset like for this chip should reset the EC chip and your laptop should boot properly, if it doesn't, then this chip is faulty and needs to be changed by a technician, as this chip also needs to be reprogrammed like a bios chip if replaced.

Hard Reset - Remove eleven (11) screws from the base cover to the upper case of your Nitro AN16-41 laptop, starting from the upper side, pry to release the upper side latches, continue releasing the remaining latches. Then remove the lower case.

Press the power key for 15 seconds to release all power to the laptop and then disconnect the main battery cable from the mainboard, then take the main battery out. Then disconnect the RTC/BIOS battery and then short the bios batteries + & - pins at the mainboard plug (as shown at plug B below) to reset CMOS and then take all the ran out.

Leave the laptop like that for at least 30min so that EC and Chipset chips reset completely and then reconnect everything, if you have 2x ram modules, only connect 1x ram module and alternate the two ram modules and see if its not one of the ram that is faulty and could be causing the boot problems also, as the laptop should boot properly with an image on the screen.

With the NVidia RTX4050 gpu driver, uninstall all the previous NVidia drivers with DUU uninstaller in safe mode, then install the NVidia App and scan your AN16-41 laptop for the latest RTX4050 gpu driver which is the driver version 576.40 and install that, which and btw, I'm using in my Predator PHN16-71 laptop and my RTX4050 with the 576.40 driver works perfectly and should also work perfectly in your Nitro AN16-71, as its not the gpu driver that is the problem in your laptop.

Also, make sure that you have the last AN16-41 bios version 1.25 installed and your Win-11 version 24H2 is updated to the last OS build: 26100.4061, as updating to this last OS Win-11 update will install all the AMD required drivers for the AN16-41 drivers. Doing all the above will make your AN16-41 laptop perform 100% and without any black screen and/or freezing. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

Hi, download DDU freeware from Wagnardsoft.com and boot to Safe Mode (see link)

    DDU for Radeon.jpg DDU screen.jpg

Uninstall both AMD and Nvidia GPU drivers in 2 runs, don't install anything Windows will reinstall the correct drivers automatically after you click on the box in DDU "Clean and restart" (see pictures) or the GPU drivers will be offered as Optional updates in Windows 'Check for updates".
