My Laptop Amber Light is Blinking when the Charger is Plugged In.
How to fix my laptop's amber light blinking when the charger is plugged in. When it is off, it charges; if turned on, it will not charge; instead, it will blink.

How old is your laptop? It could be due to faulty battery or power adaptor.

It's only one year old.

So, the battery shouldn't be failing. Is the power adapter light also blinking? Is the laptop at 0% charge or does it have some remaining charge?
Try performing a battery reset using the steps provided in the article below 2-3 times, then check again.

This is what it looks like after reset. It doesn't charge. The power adapter doesn't have any light indicator. The laptop's amber light blinks.

If the issue persists, I recommend visiting the nearest Acer service center with your laptop and power adapter for diagnosis and repair. It could be either the laptop or the adapter, but I suspect the adapter might be faulty and causing this problem

What is the exact model of your laptop, as the Amber (flashing): means that the Battery is low and your laptop is not charging the battery, Check if the barrel plug is plugged into the port fully and not just half way, if the barrel plug is lose in the DC_IN port then the port negative clips have been pushed in and need to be spread out so that the barrel plug makes full contact, if its not the plug then your charging rail in your laptop is faulty and need to be fixed, as it could be the EC chip, mosfet or a capacitor that are faulty and you need a technician to pinpoint the exact fault.
