Games/browser crashing after firmware update - Helios Neo 16 PHN16-72

A couple of weeks ago windows update installed the "Insyde Software - Firmware - 1.0.15.0" update on my laptop, updating my bios version to 1.15. Since then, firefox (or chrome) tabs randomly crashes while I'm browsing and I can't stay inside games for longer than ~20 mins before the game crashes. I've looked into a bunch of posts talking about problems with bios updates, but I'm not sure what I should do. I don't have a restore point to rollback to before the update and I am not sure if a clean windows installation would help or not. Is there a (safe) way for me to downgrade it back to the previous version? Any tips on what to do?

Hi, I recommend uninstalling all 3rd-party browsers, virus checkers and trial programs preinstalled on your laptop. Only use Widows Edge browser and Defender. Check in Task Manager-Processes how many apps are running at the background, if more than 80, uninstall/disable the apps you don't use/need including in the Startup Task Manager tab. BIOS version 1.15 from 2024/12/03 is not causing crashing, non-Windows services or untested 3rd-party drivers do. Also check the temperatures of the GPU and CPU in PredatorSense, the system may be overheating, use Best Power Efficiency mode in Windows Power & Battery settings and turn off Turbo Booster in PredatorSense.
