So from the title, yeah i need help. It shutted down randomly while i was playing a game & having youtube playing in the background. It was random that i didn't get a chance to save the character i was creating & i thought it was because of my hard drive. That wasn't the case (good thing i saved it as a backup or i'd be crying rn). At first, i looked next to me, & saw the adapter power off (not the outlet, but the ac adapter itself just,no light & heated). I let the adapter power off a bit before turning back on the outlet power, and it's back on,but when i try to turn on my pc, it didn't turn back on,even when connecting the adapter charger back in,it didn't show a light on. I'm suspecting that it's because of overheating (and yes i have a cooling pad for underneath my pc to cool down, but it's not cooling the top where the keyboards are at). At this moment until i wake up in the morning, im using my old pc to chat & watch youtube to get it off my mind, but now im worried that my gaming pc, that i replaced the screen & modify it, im afraid that i won't be able to use it anymore, and i don't want it to be that case. So,if anyone knows why my gaming pc just randomly shut down while i was playing a game, i would like an explanation & how to fix it.

Hi, not sure I understand your question, but this laptop is from May 2020, and it is time to replace the almost 5-year-old battery.

Update: So, i think it could be the overheating & tried connecting the ac adapter to the pc & the pc didn't come one whatsoever. At this moment, i took apart the pc to see what's physically happening. Do you think it's really the battery or something else?

When you plug the adapter in, does it show any lights?

Please remember to include @AnhEZ28 when you want to reply back to my comment so that I can check your response.
Thank you and have a nice day!

@AnhEZ28 No,it does not show any light when i plug the adapter in the pc. The adapter plug works when i let it cool down, but when i tried plugging it back to the pc,it doesn't show any light nor does it turn it on. I took apart the case to see what's going on and @Puraw suggested that it might be time to replace the battery that's 5 years old by now.

Update: i don't know what to do. I feel overwhelmed & left the pc apart as it is. I don't know if it's the adapter or the battery in the pc itself.

Your PC's sudden shutdown and power supply failure likely indicate overheating. Insufficient airflow, dust buildup, or faulty fans can cause LHIProviderPortal components to overheat. Check for dust, inspect fans, and monitor temperatures during gaming. Improve airflow by ensuring proper case ventilation and consider adding more fans. Re-apply thermal paste to the CPU and GPU as needed.

So @Puraw said that it might be my 5 year old battery, and you (@kevin458) indicate that it could be the dust as well? I'm trying to wrap my mind around it that it could be either one of both of these the reason my pc randomly shutted down.
