Hi All,

I have a Swift GO 14 laptop.

Earlier today I had a software update. Since then, the touchpad has stopped working. The touchpad is turned on via the F10 key (the SWIFT logo at the bottom of the pad is illuminated as usual). I have uninstalled and reinstalled the touchpad drivers that I downloaded from the Acer support site. I have rebooted many times. Still, it is not responsive.

Has anyone else experienced this and would be willing to offer a solution? If not, should I seek an Acer support specialist in person?

Thank you!

The easiest way is to restore your system to before the update, type restore in Search and click on "Create a restore point" and on "System restore" with a date (see picture):

If System Protection is turned off (Windows default setting) enable that very important feature. Instead see this thread how to reset and uninstall the touchpad drivers:

    Thank you! It's working.

Literally the only thing I did was uninstall McAfee and reboot my machine, and the touchpad update finished. These machines are such peculiar beasts sometimes.

    Thank you, and happy computing!

I had the same thing happen to me today. Yesterday I uninstalled McAfee and I believe some windows updates were installed yesterday too. This morning after bringing laptop out of sleep I saw a windows saying it was updating the touchpad, I am not sure it finished properly. The touchpad was then unresponsive, and no mouse seen on the screen. I had to plug in an external USB mouse to navigate around and restart the machine easily. I restarted / shutdown the windows 11 about 6 times. Still nothing. I didn't see anything wrong in the device manager, no exclamation mark. The function F10 would turn on/off the SWIFT letters but still no mouse. I then ran AcerSense and went into personal settings => touchpad. Then the touch pad started working.

    Hope that helps someone!
