Acer Chromebook 11 c740 stuck on "chrome os is damaged or missing". Need help!

Yeah I tried everything... Like factory reset etc…

Hi, I just flashed my USB drive. My chrome does boot when usb is inserted to reset it is stuck on that screen please help 😭..

Although I download chrome os from third party website and then used the "local image" on top right corner of chrome utility it flashed successfully and verification was also ✅

Now the problem is. My Chromebook won't boot from USB as you can see in the image of you know what I mean..

Likely the drive in your C740 has failed, so the recovery process can't fix it because it can't write a new image to it. The SG for your model says the drive is an mSATA module, but then later on it shows M.2 SATA drives instead. Best will be top open it up and physically look at it to determine which connector is used and the correct size. You had either a 16GB or 32GB stock, but can put a larger one in if you prefer. Once you have the new drive installed the recovery process will work again.
