hi,
For some reason I upgraded my intel graphic card driver, and I found the display control panel disappered and was replaced with an app called "Intel Graphic Control Center" from microsoft store by the driver. When I open this app and tried to tweak settings of my monitor, the app crashed. I also tried restoring the driver to the previous old 2018 version which made the display control panel came back, the app got crashed either, which means this app dosen't work for me whatever version of driver was installed.
I've contacted Intel about this crash, and they replied:
this is specific to your laptop and that your laptop manufacturer has modified the platform or added customized settings or made other changes to the software or hardware package they provide. We recommend that you contact your laptop manufacturer to confirm whether they will release a new version of the adapted graphics driver for that particular laptop.
Is that so? The graphic card driver published on the Acer support site of my SF314-54G is only the old 2018 version. Did acer make some changes so that newer version driver utilising the control center app is incompatible?
