I bought Predator Helios Neo 16 core i5 13gen on 30 March 2024. A few days ago, I noticed that my laptop wasn't turning on while the adapter was unplugged which is still happening. it turns on after plugging the adapter in. After booting it runs whether the adapter is plugged or not. checked predator sense, says battery status is good

Hi mahbubul, Please try below steps:-

    1. Remove all peripherals

Remove all the external devices connected to the computer and
unplug/remove the batteries from the laptop. After that, keep the laptop
idle for 5-10 minutes and re-insert all the components. If this doesn’t
work,  run the hardware troubleshooter :

    1. Press the Windows + W, type troubleshooting, and press Enter.
    2. Click on Hardware and Sound and select Hardware and Devices.
    3. Now, click on Next to run the troubleshooter.

    2 Uninstall Microsoft ACPI battery

    1. Press the Windows key + R, type devmgmt.msc, and hit Enter.
    2. Expand the Batteries category.
    3. Under the Batteries category and right-click the Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery listing.
    4. Now, select Uninstall device. Be careful, do not remove the Microsoft AC Adapter driver or any other ACPI-compliant driver.
    5. On the Device Manager, click on Action, followed by Scan for hardware changes.

    3. Run the Power troubleshooter and disable Fast Startup

Since this is a power-related issue, you can also run the built-in
power troubleshooter to see if this solves your problem. Also, don’t
forget to disable Fast Startup as well from Control Panel by following
    these steps:

    1. Open Control Panel and type power in the search bar.
    2. Select Choose what the power buttons do.
    3. Click the Change the settings that are currently unavailable option.
    4. Now, uncheck the option Turn on Fast Startup to disable the feature

After disabling the fast startup feature, check if the issue is fixed.

    4. Replace your battery

If nothing fixed the problem, this indicates that your laptop‘s battery is faulty and you need to replace it as soon as possible. Just ensure you get an original battery that works well with your PC.

There you have everything you need to fix the laptop won’t turn on without the charger plugged in issue. Just follow the instructions carefully, and things should be back to normal. Hope this helps.

A reset allows the smart sensor to reconnect nicely to the laptop. This ensures more accurate power readings.

Just never let your battery out of charge or it will do same thing.

I see you got gaming laptop and these modern gaming laptops are designed to use while plugged in. Make sure you plugged in your laptop specially while gaming otherwise battery will die faster. Keep Battery plugged in all time. As gaming laptop battery die faster when discharge and charge again and again.

Just perform battery Conditioning and calibrating after every 3-4months to keep it's health good.

    steps-

Conditioning and calibrating a new battery

Before you use a battery pack for the first time, there is a conditioning process that you should follow. This will ensure your battery accepts the maximum possible charge. Failure to follow this procedure will prevent you from obtaining the maximum battery charge, and will shorten the effective lifespan of the battery. We recommend this conditioning process for all new batteries, or if a battery has not been used for a long time.

    1. Connect the AC adapter and fully charge the battery.
    2. Turn on the computer and complete setting up the operating system.
    3. Disconnect the AC adapter.
    4. Operate the computer using battery power until the battery-low warning appears.
    5. Reconnect the AC adapter and fully charge the battery again.
    6. Follow these steps again until the battery has been charged and discharged three times.
