On my Acer Predator Helios 300 PH317-55-91AT the power plug keeps falling out of the power port on the back of the laptop.

I mostly us it on my lap with the cord between my legs, but even without touching it it falls out. Even when the laptop is on a solid place it falls out.

What can I do about it.

Two causes, either the wrong size adapter barrel plug (pin should be: 5.5*1.7mm) for your laptop or the DC port is worn-out/damaged by burning or by forcing a wrong size pin in the port. Check if your adapter is the original 330-Watt one from Acer and check the plug pin with a caliper if the outside measures 5.5mm and the inside diameter is 1.7mm. Then inspect the port if you see any dark burning of the metal parts. If the wrong plug is used get the correct 330-Watt adapter with the plug for your laptop, if the port is damaged bring the laptop to Acer Services in your country to replace the DC port at the back (not an expensive repair).

I'm only using the original adapter which came with the laptop.
I'll check and measure, but I hope the sizes are as you wrote.
