Acer Beamer H6510BD switches off after 10 seconds

I had to change the bulb of our H6510BD because the old one exploded.

With the new lamp the beamer only runs 10 seconds and shuts down afterwards. Power light is blue, after it cooled down Lamp light turns red, before Power finally turns to red.

Switching on the menu, it only shows the short version of the menu. In the long version would be the chance to reset the lamp counter to zero, in the short menu it isn't.

Does anybody has a hint, what could be the problem and how to solve it?

Probably because the replacement bulb has been automatically blocked from the circuit. Either due to the bulb drawing too much current or overheating from a broken fan or blocked air vent. Do you have a link to the vendor who sold the bulb?

I also thought it could be the bulb, therefore I ordered a second one. Both look absolute identical and both switch off after 10 secs.

Shown below are links to other users reporting the same lamp behavior. Other than making sure the fan & lamp door switch are functioning OK, @enricuzzo said that he tried 3 different lamps and only the most expensive ~100€ one worked. You may want to send him a private message on where he got the good replacement.
