Possible to upgrade RAM in Aspire 3 A315-34-C1V1 (N19h1)? carry the same limit.

Hello,

I was wondering just what the title says, and it's a bit difficult to find info for exactly the right Aspire 3 model variation. Hoping to get the RAM expanded a little over the 8GB it came with, which I was under the impression was onboard with an open slot should you opt to add more.

But:

There appears to be only the single DIMM slot, which is occupied. Will this model take a larger DIMM in its place? Most of what I was finding about other A315-34 variations did suggest that 12GB is the limit that they could handle, from their 4GB onboard plus an 8GB DIMM like we have here. Does the A315-34-C1V1 (N19h1) carry the same limit, or can this be effectively upgraded past the existing single 8GB DIMM after all?

The A315-34 model has 4GB of RAM on board (soldered and a removable SODIMM slot for upgrading, if this is the Intel® Pentium® Silver N5030 CPU that supports up to 8 GB DDR4/LPDDR4 total RAM up to 2400 MT/s, Acer states this, but not clear to me if the 8GB memory size is the movable slot capacity or total RAM (soldered + Slot SODIMMs).

This user installed an 8GB DDR4 module in this model and the laptop would not boot.
