I bought the Acer Predator Orion 3000 PO3-650-UB91 Gaming Desktop 13th Gen Intel Core i5-13400F 10-Core NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 16GB DDR5 1TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD Intel Wi-Fi 6E

It came with no ram and no ssd I bought Evo 2tb ssd and 32 gb of ram 6000ghz corsair vengeance ddr5

The computer is in a infinite boot if you turn it on it does not even get to bios or any screen at all just blank ... I tried all display ports and hdmi port .. is the ram not compatible? Or is it that the motherboard is faulty or has no bios ? Got the computer this way - I was credited the money to get these parts and fix it .. please help ! Thanks

    RAM COMPATABILITY?

IMO, the 32GB-6000MHz corsair vengeance DDR5 (4x8GB or 2x16GB?) is the problem, XMP profile is not supported, the 3000 series do not have overclocking in the BIOS, unlike the 5000 and 7000 series.

Orion 3000 PO3-650 RAM Upgrade Does the motherboard require very specific RAM?

  • Hi,

You could try returning these memory modules for a refund, if it's possible and get ddr5 (2x16GB) modules 4800MHz frequency but avoid any corsair vengeance or any modules with XMP profile or automatic over clocking feature.

Thanks guys I got the 2 16gig sticks so 32 gig total.. and yeah I will return these and get new ones.. do I need to get 8 ram each or can I still get 2 16 gig 4800hz ones ? I'm looking at this - Kingston Technology Kingston Fury Beast RGB 16GB 4800MT/s DDR5 CL38 DIMM Desktop Memory (Kit of 2) | Intel XMP 3.0 | Infrared Sync Technology | Overclocking Stability | KF548C38BBAK2-16

    Should work ????

2 x 16GB-4800MHz DDR5 standard JEDEC will work, the Fury Beast modules use XMP profile, not supported by Acer BIOS, and may not work. IMO Crucial CT2K16G48C40U5 2 x 16GB DDR5-4800 40-39-39-77 (2T) 1.10V standard JEDEC would be preferable.

Soooo even if you don't enable xmp it won't work ? The customer service said the compatibility list consisted of Kingston ddr5 16gig ram 4800mhz ... but all of theirs are xmp right ?? Can you get me any link ? From the US maybe a amazon link ? Struggling bad here lol

    Thanks !!

This is the Crucial Standard JEDC kit I mentioned above that I think will work:

i hate to tell you all this, i have that exact same crucial DDR5@4800 and it only runs 2x16 at 4400 and 4x16@4000 unless XMP is enabled. then you get 4800. it is not JEDEC its XMP 3.0.

    i have the PO5-640-UB11

and i thought the 3000 series just got a new BIOS update to enable XMP support?

I went with this from another forum they said this worked I don't see any reason why it would not.. hoping this fixes the infinite boot loop

As I've said in the other threads you have posted to, there is likely a good reason why the previous owner removed thee memory and drive from the computer before selling it to you. There is likely a motherboard issue that should have been handled by warranty, but since you aren't the original owner I doubt you have recourse to a warranty repair. Send it back to the seller and buy a complete system.

The below list and guides is all that you need to know about what and where to upgrade the ram in your Predator PO3-650 desktop, don't do or upgrade to anything else.

I was not aware Acer shipping incomplete units in any of the locales. In some they ship without OS, but none without CPU, memory and storage that I was aware of. Did you buy it directly from Acer or from a third party?

It was from Amazon but was for some reason shipped incomplete it was supposed to come with all parts and windows 11 but it was missing I got a refund from Amazon.. trying to get it to work now .. can't use the corsair ram I've tried everything with it I think it must be the very few ram sticks that are compatible .. I ordered the Kingston ones the previous guy said worked for him 4800 ghz and praying for the best will get in on the 4th or 5th ..

Yeah I'm assuming the ram that is from bestbuy the corsair 6000ghz is just not compatible with pre built motherboard .. ordered the ram recommended for Kingston hoping that works out

Reposting this from another thread because I took at look at this one, I have the PO3-650-UB91 (i5-13400F, 16GB DDR5,1 TB PCIe, RTX 3050 Windows 11 Home 64-bit), and I can confirm that the Kingston Fury 32GB kit (2x 16GB), 4800 MT/s, (Kingston model# KF548C38BBK2-32) works. I was looking to upgrade to 32GB and wanted to keep the black RAM look.
