What ram speed (frequency) does the predator PO5-650 support? installed 5600 MHz ram

I have now searched through a lot of information regarding the PO5-650 but I haven't found anything concrete stating which ram frequency is supported. The best I got is from the manual which has some text regarding the supported ram but since I'm not really that techy I don't fully understand it.

From my information gathering I can understand that the POT-640 is limited by the motherboard so it can utilize ram at 4400 MHz anything above that gets throttled...

I have also found that some people have installed 5600 MHz ram which utilizes the 5600 MHz speed by way of XMP profile on the PO5-650.

So does anyone have some recommendations or knows what the motherboard supports?

It depends on the installed CPU , if Intel i7 13700F: DDR5 up to 5600 MTS/s. Read the thread below: "I installed a pair of 16gb Corsair Vengeance 5600 MHz and once I turned on XMP they worked fine":

your mb is the H770 rated for the minimum 5600 mine came with the H670 rated for 4800 minimum. i did a tech chat with intel many months ago on this subject they said the chipset can handle the minimum then with XMP profiles we can get higher speeds-frequencies.

but the actual acer branded mb is where our limitations are. because we don't get XMP profiles we only get XMP-on/off.

i don't think anyone can answer what the highest MHz we can go is. you basically get it and try it. experiment like i have.

i had corsair dominator platinum 6200 X series in mine and it worked, but i saw no real performance gains worth keeping and eventually I'm upgrading to a new MSI MB, so i figure I'll be getting 2x32 then so why keep the 2x16 and limit myself.

so that's all you need to think about. as stated before i have 4x16 crucial 4800 running for over a year now and it works flawless in this MB.

so, your choice would be buying a 2x16 and limit yourself or get a new MB and have every option available we don't have now.

Here's the relevant pages from the latest service manual:

You will notice they say nothing there about XMP… In the BIOS; Advanced; CPU and Chipset Configuration tab though they allow you to enable XMP. So you should theoretically be able to run whichever XMP profiles your memory chips support, but only their fastest base since you can't pick and choose from multiple options. Theoretically that means 7000+, but as you can see some customers have had issues with the fastest memory options.

    bought the Acer Predator Orion 3000 PO3-650-UB91 Gaming Desktop 13th Gen Intel Core i5-13400F 10-Core NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 16GB DDR5 1TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD Intel Wi-Fi 6E

It came with no ram and no ssd I bought Evo 2tb ssd and 32 gb of ram 6000ghz corsair vengeance ddr5

The computer is in a infinite boot if you turn it on it does not even get to bios or any screen at all just blank ... I tried all display ports and hdmi port .. is the ram not compatible? Or is it that the motherboard is faulty or has no bios ? Got the computer this way - I was credited the money to get these parts and fix it .. please help ! Thanks

I don't believe Acer has any SKUs that don't have memory installed. Did you purchased a used machine or a refurb?

As Billsey mentions Acer themselves don't mention anything about XMP. When I contacted Acer support regarding this, they gave me the following statement

    "12 System Memory Item Specification
    Memory slot number
    4 slots(2 Channels)
    Support memory size per socket
    4GB / 8GB / 16GB
    Support maximum memory size
    64 GB
    Support memory type
    DDR5 SDRAM
    Support memory interface
    DDR5 4400 MHz / XMP 6600MHz
    Support memory module package
    288-pin DIMM
    Support parity check feature
    Yes
    Memory module combinations
You can install memory modules in any combination as long as they match the specifications."

I also asked the agent to reaffirm if it was possible for the mb to use ram running a 6600 Mhz with XMP profile.

wow awesome never knew the mb supported XMP 6600mhz, and it's safe to assume that's your H770 and not my H670. my warranty is up so i can't call them anymore to ask. but good info.
