Chomebook Spin 714 if removes the cord it turns off despite the battery icon saying full charged

I have an Acer Chromebook Spin 714 that I purchased for my daughter at the end of June 2023. For the past month or so she is only able to use it while plugged in, if she removes the cord it turns off despite the battery icon saying that it is fully charged. I’m hoping there is a quick fix for this. Any advice? Thanks!

If nothing helps bring the Chromebook to Acer Services in your country, it is covered under 2-years Acer warranty anywhere.

It would help to know just which model it is. Your full model number is usually on the same sticker as your serial number, it should look something like CP714-xxx-xxxx. There have been at least four different model series and numerous SKUs in each over the years.
