Hi,
I have an Acer Aspire A515-58P bought brand new in May this year (2023). The Acer Care Center that came preinstalled has been telling me in the "Update" section that "Your system is up to date," but when I go to acer.com→support→drivers and manuals and entering my SNID there, I see that several drivers' updated versions were released and are available to download. More importantly, I see that an update for BIOS/Firmware is also available to download (I checked in System Information that my installed BIOS version/date is "Insyde Corp. V1.00, 12/30/2022," while the new version that is available on Acer.com's Drivers and Manuals page for my Aspire A515-58P is 1.04 released on 2023/08/30!
Please advise if I should go ahead and download all the new updates, including the updated BIOS/Firmware that is available from Acer.com's Drivers and Manuals page for my Aspire A515-58P, even though the Acer Care Center app is insisting that my "system is up to date."
Really looking forward to hearing from an Acer expert here soon, as I believe BIOS and all drivers should be kept up to date for better security.
(My Avast antivirus is also recommending me to update the drivers because new updates have been made available by the manufacturer — you, Acer)
