Acer Nitro 5 (AN515-46-R5XN) second SSD as boot drive?

Hi, I was wondering if I could use the 2nd SSD slot in my AN515-46-R5XN as the boot drive?

Mine comes with 1TB in slot 1, I was thinking of getting a small 256GB and use it for the OS (in slot 2). Is that possible, or I must boot from SSD slot 1?

AFAIK, SSD slot 1 is PCIe gen 4, while SSD slot 2 is PCIe gen 3. So, I want my faster drive to be used for my data.

Also, the second SSD slot is standard 2280, right?

If you are getting the 256GB, plug it in the 2nd SSD slot, and transfer the OS to that one, then the Windows is still bootable and working normally.
