I'm not running SMBIOS (nor do I know how to run? ) on my computer. What is the purpose of looking at other computers/ brands to see if they have ACPI ?

My I suggest that you start over and tell us what PCIe card did you buy and did you or did you not get it working as I'm so confused.

Kindness and patience are great attributes as we are not perfect but just trying to help you.

  • I don't know the reason for this bug. But all computers have acpi support. The question I ask is this: did you update the embedded controller firmware? If you haven't upgraded, I suggest you upgrade and then check if the acpi bug still persists: Firmware

As I said in the other thread, update the bios to the latest version too: BIOS

    Update uCode to M02A0671_00000050.

I am very sorry and yes, my replies should be deleted but I think that the Reddit post backs up Billsey comment.

🤣😂😂🤣@fugadug you don’t seem to give up, do you🙄??? You have posted a tremendous amount of data for your question, when you could have done the same by contacting Acer tech support in your country and find out officially from an Acer technician! Can’t you get it through your bios engineering brain, that we can’t give you a definite answer, as you have been advised so by other members.

Note @fugadug: please stop being obnoxious and rude as we are all here to help each other the best way that we can and we are all well intentioned with no malice, even if you get offended so easily for no reason or no answers to your postssss! 😴cheers and have a great day,
