Hi, I have an Aspire V15 Nitro Black Edition Laptop, VN7 592G 77LB.

I am wondering if I can upgrade the M2 SATA SSD to NVME?

I ran HWiNFO64 and got the following for PCI express root port 5-

Version: 3.0

Max Link width: 4x

Does 'PCI express root port 5' refer to the M2 slot on the motherboard and does this mean that I can use a PCIe Gen 3.0 x 4 NVME SSD?

I took out the Current M2 card and I'm seeing that the slot itself on the motherboard has one notch as though an NVME would physically fit. However, I'm unsure whether or not it will work.

The new one I'm looking to get is: SAMSUNG 970 EVO PLUS M.2 2280 2TB PCIe Gen 3.0 x4, NVMe 1.3 V-NAND 3-bit MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-V7S2T0B/AM https://www.newegg.ca/samsung-970-evo-plus-2tb/p/N82E16820147744

Is that NVME SSD likely to work in my system? If so, Would I need to update the BIOS or change settings?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if any additional info is needed.

Thank you.
