Nitro 5 AN515-44 Windows fast startup problem

I have made a Windows 11 upgrade, my black screen problem continues again.I've been having the same problem since Windows 11 came out.After the Windows 11 logo, it remains on the black screen.Pressing the Windows + CTRL + Shift + B keys at the same time does not react.I press CTRL + Shift + ESC, the task manager does not open.I close the screen cover, it does not go to sleep mode.The mouse cursor does not appear on the screen. When I press the power button for a long time and the computer shuts down, this time Windows 11 turns on smoothly.

I have not experienced a black screen problem on Windows 10. I noticed that my computer was not working well when Windows fast startup was turned on. My TPM information is also loading late when Windows fast startup is on. Is it possible that because Windows 11 makes TPM mandatory, the TPM information does not appear and the computer does not turn on? My SSD drive is intact, everything looks fine. I cleared the TPM, reset the Secure Boot.

Such a beautiful device, I started to hate Acer products because of a small problem. Why is there no BIOS update support for this device? i have been using the computer for 1.5 years and I am still using the V1.04 BIOS version.

How did you upgrade from W10 to W11, was this upgrade offered by Windows or did you perhaps download some ISO file and installed it over your old W10? It looks like some drivers are not W11 compatible, check your Device Manager if you see any yellow problem icons also in hidden devices. There is better and faster boot process available called Hibernate that I am using instead of Fast Startup, disable Fast Startup and enable Hibernate (same menu) so Hibernate will show in the Start-Shutdown menu. Try it, faster and you will get all the Events and Diagnosis that with Fast Startup you won't get, almost like a fresh boot. Advice: Do not disparage us, we are peers like yourself, and share experiences purely as a hobby in this community. I know you are probably frustrated with your laptop but you will get the best from this forum only by courteous and civil communication: Acer is world's leader in laptops, there are pros and cons with any PC brand depending on your wishes and budget😉

I indicated that I was waiting for the TPM information to load when quick launch was turned on in Windows 10.

There is no such problem on my Asus laptop with the same processor. In addition, AMD has released a TMP fix patch, which I think should come with the BIOS.

Acer is proof that it does not stand behind the product it sells. Acer engineers are not interested in this situation. I returned my Aspire 3 computer earlier from a similar problem and bought Acer again, this time it seems to be a software chronic problem again.

I will not recommend the Acer product to my environment again. Asus or Lenovo are very good at this update business.

Again, this community forum is not Acer's Answer forum/feedback medium, although moderators here are associated with Acer, users are just like you. What you are doing with these critical posts is detrimental in a friendly community, serves absolutely no purpose, other than blowing of some steam, and IMO completely wrong because Asus and Acer are very healthy Taiwanese competitors in exactly the same field: Asus is much younger and was started by ex-Acer engineers, their Rog laptops may rate a bit better than Acer's (Asus makes their own MOBOs) but the general consensus (Google it) is that the mid-range laptops are identical in quality and price, Acer's worlwide support also rates better, and please don't get me started on Lenovo😐️

Saw many ppl having the same problem with Nitro and/or predator. Wasnt updating my windows but I choose to update 2 weeks ago. My nitro started lagging on startup and taking too much time (20min) just to open windows desktop and thow exeplorer.exe while stuck on welcome screen. Tried to update windows 10 on this last update and also tried to update my bios. Things got worse!

Got stuck in Inaccesible boot device (win10 blue screen). Fixed that by disablin fast boot on bios setup, choosing the correct boot device and also changing to AHCI SATA boot setup (HD). My ssd became unreadable. Started windows again with no blue screen and had a huge headache to fix my ssd (making it readable again). This is more like a troubleshooting for the problems ppl are dealing

Take the time and visit (as guest) other computer forums like Dell, Intel or Lenovo (I know I do) and you will find similar complaints and rantings like this thread, it is very difficult to keep everybody happy. In my country (the Philippines) I rate Acer's support as the best, on every issue (hardware and software) I got promptly personal help and W10 upgrades/updates that failed were (remotely) fixed. Cannot say the same for others, still waiting on an inquiry I made 1 month ago for a different brand laptop. No idea when you guys bought your W10 gaming laptops but if that was in the last 2 years you only have yourself to blaim for firmware or driver update issues. Very few spend $1,000-2,000 on a 4 year old gaming laptop model that does not have a high end CPU (like Intel's Core i9-12900K), in the middle of Windows major restructuring campaign (at the end of the 10 year W10 period). You should have waited a bit till W11 22H2 was released and get the latest laptop model with high end CPUs, and used your old gaming PCs meanwhile. PCIe (5.0) SSDs are also far more reliable, cooler (consume far less power) while Sata 2.5" V-NAND SSDs completely replace the mechanical HDDs. Maybe time to buy a new 2023 W11 laptop, either Acer or Asus?

Try Hibernate instead of Shutdown, enable Hibernate in the Power Plan menu ("Choose what closing the lid does") faster than Fast Startup and all events and diagnosis are recorded almost the same as a fresh boot😉

How easily you say it! I think don't waste your breath! It's ridiculous that this computer hasn't received a BIOS update yet. The Windows 11 22H2 version has already been released. I will never buy Acer again. You're telling me a fairy tale. Is it just Windows 11 that's the problem? When I bought the computer, it also had a problem with TPM, it must have been a mistake to buy it at that time. There must have been a problem when I bought it from here and Acer should have solved it, if it can't solve it, I'm saying that I'll get the same support again when I buy another computer.

There are some reports from users who participate in the community, mentioning that there is a drop in performance when the tpm of models that have amd ryzen processors is activated in the bios. This problem was also mentioned in the amd changelog and they state that this solution will only occur with a uefi firmware update (bios), see: https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/pa-410

When users disable tpm in bios, the issue is resolved. However, one of the requirements for windows 11 to be installed or working properly, is that tpm needs to be enabled in the bios.

The read / write speed of the SSD seems normal. I did the RAM test and it says no errors were found. I sent it to the service, it passed the 24-hour test. In case of a problem again, the service has changed the motherboard and the same problem continues. The firmware version of the SSD is up to date. Someone using this computer can give the correct answer.

Hi! I have Nitro 5 AN515-44(4600h) laptop and Win10. My OS says that my PC doesn`t meet minimal requirement to even install Win11 😁. Few month ago I had a problem with sound (I guess OS updated driver automatically and corrupted it). Right now I have a problem with selfdischarging battery. Please, can you test your laptop if it has 1 - 1,5% per day selfdischarge while being Powered Off completely(Fastboot OFF\Hibernation OFF\Sleep OFF)? As for BIOS support: latest is V1.04 02/04/2021.
