If Windows 10-11 fails to boot normally three times over, the fourth time, it enters by default in an Automatic Repair mode. Using this mode, you can boot into Safe Mode. To trigger the Automatic Repair mode, you must interrupt the normal boot process three consecutive times: use the Restart or the Power button on your laptop to stop it during boot, before it starts Windows. If you use the Power button, you might have to keep it pressed for at least 4 seconds to force the power off. When Windows enters the Automatic Repair mode, the first thing you see is a screen that tells you that the operating system is “Preparing Automatic Repair.” Keep your Windows/Microsoft password ready for logon. You can now restart in Safe Mode that will bypass your update loop issue. I don't recommend the Repair option. A second method to start your laptop is with a USB Recovery USB Flash Drive:

You will need a USB recovery flash drive, if you never made one before borrow a USB 2.0 or 3.0) recovery drive from a friend who runs the same Windows version you have, also these recovery USB Flash drives for your system are offered on the Acer Support website. After booting (with the correct USB 2.0 or 3.0 port) a Recovery USB drive (with WindowsRE) will let you restore you system to an earlier point (before your last Windows update), uninstall that latest Windows update or "Reset this PC" while either retaining or losing your files (2 options). In the Troubleshoot menu there is also the option to restart Windows in Safe Mode that will bypass the loop you are in now:

Start Safe Mode with the USB recovery drive: Advanced Options (blue) screen, select Advanced Startup Options, Select Startup Settings. Select Restart. your laptop restarts and enters the Startup Settings menu. Select 4 or F4 to start the computer in Safe Mode. If you must use the Internet, select 5 or F5 for Safe Mode with Networking.

In Windows10-11 Safe mode you can also restore your system to an earlier point or Reset this Computer or Pause updates: Select Start > Settings > Windows Update> Pause Updates for 5 weeks (that will give you time to either block the problem update or fix your system by running DISM (Dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth) and SFC /scannow..

The solution will be to do a reset but when you do reset of the unit you will lose all the data.
