So I have this problem when I compared my predator helios with someone I know, his driver was at rtx 3060 but with 144hz while I have 165 hz. Whenever I play valorant my maximum fps would be at 70-90 fps while all the graphic quality is set at low quality while from the other, his quality is the same as mine but his fps reaches around 240+. Can someone help me with this T__T.

    (1) What predator laptop model do you have with 3060 gpu? For example, PH315-54?
    (2) What laptop model does your friend have with 3060 gpu?

@anonymousscarlette be sure to mention both of the model names as Jack said.
Check this optimization post here: https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/612495/windows-10-11-optimization-guide-for-gaming/p1
Also, ask him if he has upgraded the RAM or not by checking the task manager, performance tab, and memory section.
If possible, post both pictures here.

Please remember to include @AnhEZ28 when you want to reply back to my comment so that I can check your response.
Thank you and have a nice day!

    (1) HI! I have mistakenly said we both have rtx 3060. Sorry for that. To clear things up we both have predator helios 300 but I own a Predator Helios 300 PH315-54-55NE model while he has Predator Helios 300 PH315-54-70BF to be exact. He did not upgraded his ram same as mine thus we both have a 16gb ram. It feels off playing valorant while in-game with a 80-90 fps wherein I should have a 200+ fps with my driver given. I have also updated my nvidia with its recent update but still nothing has changed. However I tried to temporarily change my resolution in-game from 2,560 x 1440 16:9 (165hz) (which is the recommended/original resolution) to 2,048 x 1152 16:9 (165hz) to get a 120+ fps while in-game tho sometimes it still goes back to 90. Do you have any idea on what might be the problem for this?

165Hz at 2560x1440 is the maximum rate advertised and recommended for your model's higher resolution QHD LCD screen. Doesn't matter if the GPU is capable of higher rates. The screen sets the maximum. Furthermore, you cannot compare these higher resolution QHD screen rates with your friend's lower resolution FHD screen rates. The two screens are different with different preferred resolutions. I don't think you have a problem with this machine's hardware. Any in-game issues are likely related to settings used, not hardware limitations.
