CPU Temperature reached 100 degree celsius on a gaming laptop predator helios 300

Hi,
I own a predator helios 300 that has i7 10870h and rtx 3060. I was playing dying light yesterday and just after closing the game, I noticed on predator sense that my cpu temperature was almost 100 degree C(98)and my gpu temperature was 84 degrees. Idle cpu temperature stays at around 50 degrees. So, I wanted to ask that why didn't my laptop shutdown itself after reaching such high temperature? And the other thing is, game was still running fine even after reaching this much temperature. I was not getting any problem while playing the game. It was running at constant 120 fps. I am already using throttlestop to control cpu temp. Is there any other thing i can do to control temps?

Use a laptop cooler or change the thermal paste.
