Hello,
My laptop Nitro 5 AN515-57 i5-1140H@2.7GHz 16GB RTX3050T WIN11 lost graphics performance. Ie. Fortnite was normally about 140FPS. It runs 20-30FPS now. Gears 5 used to be about 70FPS and now 20-30. I forgot to plug power today and played on battery only. During the game I heard loud sounds of vents and FPS dropped to 20-30. ANy hints?

@ThorR_RPG probably try again with the charger plugged in. The performance of gaming on the battery is limited.

I'm aware of that. Charger is plugged battery 100% and no changes.

I installed video card drivers from Acer support site and seems problem is solved. Strange is that it worked fine with Nvidia divers for few weeks and suddenly failed in the middle of game session.

    Low fps while plugged in?

Modern gaming laptop and modern gaming laptops runs on electricity(while charging).
The reason why we provided battery , in case if we want to use it in our garden, car or in any other room, we can charge it and then we can use it without the charger cable.   But in case of Desktop or all in one computer we we dont have this choice.
It is not going to make any impact on your computer.
You should also game while charging to get 100% GPU/CPU performance.
Modern laptop CPU/GPU are very powerful they need electricity to run.

Once laptop register 100% full, the batteries are cut off from the circuit automatically, and the computer only sporadically monitors their charging. Therefore, using the computer while it's plugged in does not adversely affect the batteries directly.

I fixed the problem by upgrading a BIOS to 1.16 but today problem is back. Reinstall graphics drivers and everything works fine untill the reboot of system. Any hints?

Come to think of it I've also experienced something like this, and still have no clue what's the problem.

I recommend checking disk usage to see if it 100% when these low frame scenarios occur might make a thread about this.

Chaquvies don't think SSD usage is an issue especially that reinstall graphics drives is a temporary solution. Whar do you think about Windows reinstall?

That would also probably be a temporary fix.

Chaquvies Today BIOS was upgraded to 1.17 and guess what? Everything works fine. I wonder if machines enters any "service" state or anything and during the BIOS upgrade all vaules are cleared. Strange thing.
